Jarrod Bowen is a professional English football player who plays for West Ham United in the Premier League.
Bowen began his football career at his local non-league side Hereford United, after failing to make the grade following trials at Aston Villa and Cardiff City.
However, his career at Hereford didn't last long and he was swiftly snatched up by then Premier League club Hull City.
Six seasons and multiple end of season awards later, Bowen signed for West Ham United in 2020 and quickly became a favourite with David Moyes and Hammers fans.
After spending a year at non-league Hereford United, the club were expelled from the Football Conference due to financial irregularities and the 17-year-old Bowen joined Hull in July 2014.
He spent two years in the club's youth set-up before being given his first team debut in 2016, a 3-1 EFL Cup win over Exeter City. Three months later he signed a two-year contract.
In the 2017/18 season, Hull City found themselves in the Championship, where Bown became a regular feature in the starting eleven.
In all competitions, he played 44 times for the Tigers, scored 15 and claimed three assists. His first goal for the club came on the opening game of the Championship season in a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa.
Hull finished 18th that season, eight points from the drop. Bowen's contributions earned him the Hull City Supporter's Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year awards.
Bowen won the Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year and Hull City Supporter's Player of the Year at Hull City's end of season awards.
His performances in the Championship did not go unnoticed and Premier League West Ham United would eventually come knocking.
In the 2019/20 season, after 29 games in the Championship and 16 goals for Hull City, relegation-threatened West Ham swooped for Bowen during the January transfer window.
The forward signed for £18million from the Tigers and scored in his first start for West Ham in the 3-1 win over Southampton.
It was his only goal of the season, but it helped him cement his place in the first team and he played a vital role in helping West Ham to Premier League survival.
West Ham exceeded expectations in the 2020/21 season, finishing sixth, and booking a place in the Europa League. Bowen was an ever-present in the side and ended the season with eight goals and six assists in all competitions.

Bowen raised his game further in the 2021/22 season as West Ham finished seventh in the Premier League. The 25-year-old scored 18 goals and claimed 13 assists in all competitions as West Ham also reached the semi-finals of the Europa League.
Gareth Southgate selected him for his Nations League England squad in the summer and he made his debut against Hungary on June 4.
Bowen featured in every Premier League game for West Ham in the 2022/23 season, but struggled, as much of the team did, as they battled against relegation.
West Ham finished in 14th just six points above the drop, but in Europe it was a different matter as they went on an unbeaten run to the Europa Conference League final.
Bowen's last-minute strike secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Fiorentina in the final and ended West Ham's 43-year wait for a trophy.
Bowen was born in Leominster, Herefordshire, and despite his love for current side West Ham United, Bowen grew up supporting Manchester United.
