PFL Europe confirm four championship bouts as inaugural tournament culminates in Dublin, Ireland

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has confirmed four Championship bouts ahead of the culmination of the inaugural PFL Europe season.

On Friday, December 8 in Dublin, the inaugural PFL Europe Championship will see four huge title fights take place with $400,000 on the line in a blockbuster night of action at the 3Arena.

In what is set to be an unforgettable night for Irish MMA, Dublin’s Frans Mlambo and John Mitchell from Cork will battle on home soil for the first time this year in the respective bantamweight and lightweight championships.

Mitchell will be looking to get revenge for his fellow bantamweight and countryman Dylan Tuke, who was defeated in last month’s playoffs by the extremely impressive Jakub Kaszuba, while fan-favourite Frans Mlambo will put it all on the line as he faces Germany’s Khurshed Kakhorov in a true 50/50 bantamweight finale.

Also, on what will be a stacked high-stakes show in December, the UK’s top prospects Dakota Ditcheva and Simeon Powell will put their perfect 9-0 records on the line in the pursuit of claiming PFL Europe gold and a life changing cheque of $100,000.

In the women’s flyweight championship and fresh off a devastating viral KO in the playoffs, ‘Dangerous’ Dakota Ditcheva will come up against Straight Blast Gym’s Valentina Scatizzi, who will be looking to lean on the vast experience of trainer John Kavanagh to guide her to championship glory.

In the light heavyweights, ‘Smooth’ Simeon Powell will be up against Slovenia’s heavy hitting Jakob Nedoh, who produced a stunning first round stoppage in Paris against Anthony Salamone.

Dan Hardy, head of fighter operations for PFL Europe said: “We've got four European titles on the line, and a lot of money for these athletes to collect, all in one night. It's the biggest night in European MMA, and there is no better place for a celebration of Mixed Martial Arts than Dublin.

"It's been host to some of the most iconic nights in MMA history, and this is a history-making event. It will be a special night for these inaugural European champions, and a big night for PFL Europe.”
