Thomas Frank promises better performances from Brentford after Crystal Palace draw

Brentford manager Thomas Frank told fans to expect better things to come after his side earned a credible draw against Crystal Palace.

Thomas Frank says there is more to come from Brentford after Joachim Andersen's late equaliser earned Crystal Palace a 1-1 draw at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Kevin Schade's stunner was cancelled out by Hodgson's men, with their persistence paying off when they claimed a 76th-minute leveller through centre-back Andersen.
Frank credited his side's first-half performance but was irritated at the strange nature of their opponent's goal - Andersen sliding in for a challenge and poking the ball through Mark Flekken's legs - which secured a fifth straight draw between the two teams in the Premier League.
"I thought first-half we were on top without playing fantastic, I thought we were the better team but I think there is more for us to come," Frank said.
"I thought we were very aggressive and good with the pressure and that we came with energy. We did everything we could to add intensity and tempo to the game.
"I thought we were controlling OK, we gave away a double chance from a corner but aside from that I felt there was nothing really dangerous and then they had a strange goal which is a little bit irritating.
"The result is probably a little bit more disappointing for us because we were leading 1-0 but a draw was probably fair enough."
Hodgson highlighted Palace's poor first-half performance but credited his coaching staff for changing the system which resulted in a late shift in momentum.
Palace lined up in a 4-2-3-1 before swapping to a more structured 4-3-3 which allowed them to pile on the pressure with more possession in the lead up to Andersen's equaliser.
"I thought in the first-half we were a little bit flat to be honest, I didn't think we played like we have been," Hodgson added.
"The coaching staff in discussion with the video scout over the course of the game came upon a better system of play in the second-half which gave us more chance to give the players that freedom.
"In the first-half (Eberechi) Eze was playing in that nebulous role behind the front player and in the second-half we played a more classic 4-3-3 system which we used in the latter part of last year, so we thought the players would be more comfortable.
"We have to accept as a coaching staff that we didn't help in the first half by the way we thought we needed to play."
Hodgson complimented attacking midfielder Eze, who justified his recent links to Manchester City with another stellar performance for the Eagles.
"He's Eze," Hodgson said.
"That's what Eze is - a very fine player.
"I never get tired of saying how good Eze is and we expect more and more from him and when his good pal (Michael) Olise comes back we'll cause teams even more problems than we were able to do today."
