14:25 (Newmarket) Point Sur

Charlie Appleby’s Point Sur could be one to watch out for in the Join Racing TV Now Novice Stakes.

Godolphin have used this card to bring through smart types such as Hurricane Lane in the past, while this year’s Derby hope Military Order was a winner 12 months ago.

Home-bred colt Point Sur has already made one visit to Headquarters, when showing clear signs of greenness early on but then finishing well to be beaten less than a length in fourth.

The half-brother to St Leger runner-up New London and three other decent winners will surely come on for that experience and will be ridden by William Buick ahead of stablemate Strong Opinion, a 1,000,000gns son of Dubawi and Persuasive.

15:35 (Newmarket) Prepschool

Prepschool could not quite wear down Curran when they met at Pontefract earlier this month – losing out by a short-head – and they meet on the same terms in their British EBF Ruby Anniversary Nursery Handicap rematch.

However, Michael Bell’s charge had previously been very impressive at Ripon and is fancied to gain revenge if keeping closer tabs on his conqueror this time.

16:10 (Newmarket) Zouzanna

Another bold showing is anticipated from Zouzanna in the Racing TV Fillies’ Handicap over a mile.

Harry and Roger Charlton’s filly has been successful at Haydock and Ascot this season and still looked to be on an upward curve when third here earlier this month.

The daughter of Zoustar was given a patient ride that day but did not quite get a clear passage when starting to make a forward move.

Zouzanna kept on well to finish just a neck behind Coco Jamboo over seven furlongs, so stepping back up to a mile makes sense at this stage.

16:45 (Newmarket) At Vimeiro

At Vimeiro can make it third time lucky in the British Stallion Studs EBF Future Stayers Novice Stakes.

Jane Chapple-Hyam’s 650,000gns recruit went into many notebooks when making late headway to finish fifth on his Doncaster debut and was then far from disgraced at big odds in the Group Two Royal Lodge at this venue.

The booking of Ryan Moore suggests connections remain confident there is more to come from this son of Sea The Stars, who can take advantage of the 6lb he receives from Newbury scorer Feigning Madness.

17:20 (Newmarket) Broadway Act

Godolphin are worth going back to in the closing Racing Welfare Nursery Handicap with Broadway Act, who will be looking to follow up a course and distance victory from last month.

Runner-up Whip Cracker has since romped home by six lengths at Chelmsford and several others in behind that day also performed with credit next time out, so the form seems solid.
